Adult Psychotherapy Group wEllie Wilde, Ph.D. Tuesdays 6-8 PM www.whalebeingtherapy.com.png

You don't have to carry it all on your own.
Therapy groups are powerful engines of growth, helping us be held well enough to heal.
Members often describe the experience as being welcomed back into humanity!

Somatic group sessions help us slow down enough to notice our experience. In a safe container, we get to try new ways of relating that help us shed old unhelpful patterns and deepen our capacity for satisfying connection. Together, we discover and celebrate members' unique gifts and feel back into belonging.

Groups are trauma informed, and begin with warm-ups to help members connect and build trust.
Agency and consent guide participation, touch, and sharing.

Modalities draw on relational somatics, interplay, and psychodrama.

Investment: $65/week

3 month minimum commitment

This group is a support group, not a therapy group, meaning that I will take off my therapist hat to facilitate the space and also be an equal participant. Disability justice says "nothing about us without us," so we will co-create the space together, and sessions will focus on the present concerns of the group.

I am trained and available to support the group in activities such as:
- Holding space for the grief of all that we have lost and continue to miss out on,
shared sorrows and challenges around relationships, life transitions, role-changes, and more
- Sharing resources around mental health such as self compassion practices

- Sharing discoveries of practical utility, such as life hacks for fatigue and chronic pain

All are welcome, particularly those made to feel like outsiders because of discrimination around race, gender, sexuality, immigrant or native status, age, disability, or spiritual/cultural background. Groups are held and facilitated from a liberatory, anti-oppressive framework.
